The Vermont Guide
is your helpful guide to traveling the Green Mountain State. Visitors go to Vermont to escape big city life by marveling in the rolling hills, dairy farms, and river valley villages that characterize its lovely rural areas. The sprawling beauty of Vermont's landscapes are matched by its arts and entertainment scenes, which offer more than their share of culture for visitors to experience.
Deciding when to visit Vermont can greatly effect the turnout of your
vacation. All four seasons are experienced here; each quite
distinct, each offering weather that is better for some activities
than others. It's important to consider not only the weather, but
the state's seasonal events. When you're able to get away may
ultimately be out of your hands, but no matter when you go, we're
here to help. Check out our Planning
Your Trip
guide for tips on making decisions for your Vermont vacation.

Miller is the prodigious illustrator of the famed dark comics Sin City, Daredevil, and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. Bissette and Veitch worked together on DC's Swamp Thing in the 1980s. Today, Bissette teaches Comic Art History at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction. |

Music:
Vermont's music scene has a more intimate feel than most. Small concert halls and clubs like Middle Earth Music Hall and Rusty Nail Bar & Grill play host to both local musicians and big-name stars. Vermont's college campuses are an important place for music also, having boosted the college music scene with bands like Phish and Dispatch. (More...) |
